How bad could
it be?
Well,
I found out while on the job at a company in downtown Chicago.
I was eating
a
PB&J sandwich when the phone rang. Startled, I squeezed the
sandwich,
getting apricot jam between the K and L keys, requiring I take more of
an
interest in technology than I really wanted to do.
Then I joined the Chicago Computer Society. If you are lucky enough to live in a city with a computer user’s group, you should attend a meeting and get involved in learning from other users.
From there, as PC’s became integrated into work in the mid-1990’s, my interest grew and I worked hard to keep up instead of catching up.
Now I make a living as a computer consultant and writer on business and technology topics nationwide, bridging the great divide between people and technology.
