Daylight Savings TimeREMINDER: Daylight Savings Time starts three weeks earlier (2:00 A.M. on March 11) and will end one week later, the 1st Sunday in November. Most computers can't automatically adjust to the new dates for the time change. Change the time on your computer manually, or double-click the clock in the lower right corner of your computer screen, and uncheck "Automatically adjust for Daylight Savings Time." |

Tracking the stock market's ups and downsWhether the market is plummeting or you just want to check on your investments, there are dozens of reputable sites where you can build an online portfolio and get an instant recap of your investment activity. Consider: smartmoney.com, morningstar.com, money.cnn.com, finance.yahoo.com, and of course, your brokerage firm's site. |

Feeling scattered? Organize with online to-do listsI've teased more than a few clients about computer screens full of Post-It notes, but if you need a quick and easy place to track reminders and to-do's, here are a few resources: Post-It programs run on your computer, where you can pop up a sticky-note and drag them around the screen. The to-do lists... well we all know what to do with those. Try Tadalist.com, WebNote or Voo2Do.com. |

Five things you can do in five minutes1. Give someone a walk down memory lane by visiting www.on-this-day.com or the New York Times "On this Day" at www.nytimes.com/learning/general/onthisday/index.html?8qa 2. Clean out your Inbox. "Email is the place where tasks go to die," says Jason Adelman, president of Accomplice.com. 3. Learn something new at lifehacker.com. The site is not as technical as it sounds, and is one of my favorites. It changes daily and offers tips on how to clean a keyboard, a camera lens, or solve a lot of life's little problems with DIY (do-it-yourself) tips. 4. Spring showers bring big power failures. Make sure you have adequate surge protectors and/or an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) on all your important equipment. 5. The word of the day is "interstitial." It refers to ads that you're forced to view before you can access a site's content. |
