Bio
Helen Gallagher enjoyed a long corporate career in executive
positions
at Jim Beam Brands, Envirodyne Industries, and Ameritech, (AT&T)
until
1996. She then launched Computer Clarity, a software consulting and
training business in Glenview, Illinois.
At a time when people most
needed a little help getting started with computers and the Internet,
she began personal, customized training and teaching workshops to
bridge the gap between people and technology. Although Chicago
based, her work takes her to Arizona, Michigan, Missouri, and the west
coast.
Today, her thriving consulting practice is augmented by her writing on
business and technology, with over 100 articles in major business and
trade publications. She is also the author of Computer
Ease, selected by
Forbes.com Book Club. Her book also won a state award from the Illinois
Women's Press Association in 2006. She acts as Publishing Advisor to
clients who want to fulfill their desires to publish their books.
Topics
This is really up to you, and the nature of your
audience. The thing that never changes in my presentations is humor and
passion. With 30 years in the corporate environment, and ten years
consulting, training and writing, versatile presentations stem from an
understanding of audience perspective. Groups of any size are
appropriate, and some presentations are best with an LCD projector for
demonstration.

Fees & Expenses
For a first time speaking
engagement, fees are
negotiated based on audience, and duration of event.
Typical fees are:
$ 450 Workshops & Panels, up to 3 hours
$ 600 Half-day seminar
$1,500 Full-day seminar
For a return engagement on the same topic, multi-year discount may
apply.
Additional expenses paid
by
client, as negotiated:
Round-trip coach airfare or
Auto transportation costs at standard mileage rates
Hotel and taxes, as needed
Handout material production
I do not charge for miscellaneous out-of-pocket expenses such as
personal meals on the road.
Promotion
Please let me know what I can do to help promote
your event. If you want to share your news with my mailing list, I
can't violate the privacy of my list but will be happy to send an
announcement on your behalf. In addition your event will be
announced in my monthly e-newsletter and on my web site.
Profit
sharing
When speaking
to a qualified
non-profit organization, I enjoy sharing 10 percent of my book sales
with the organization. Payment is made by check within one week of
receiving payment for the engagement. A better way to make money might
be for your organization to purchase a quantity of my book in advance,
to share with
your audience. If so, you'll earn up to a 30 percent discount.
